Hit my head

Hi everyone. I hit my head not too hard on the side of the door panel, and I feel fine, but I have a slight burning sensation where I hit my head. I really didn't hit it that hard, so I don't think I need to be worried, but was just curious if the burning sensation is normal? Thank you all so much!!!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi!
Ideally, all head injuries should be investigated. Yes, a slight pain or burning sensation can be felt at the site where you hit the door. However, since you feel you did not jam into the door too hard, if you develop nausea, vomiting, excess sleep, severe headache, difficulty in walking and balance, tremors, seizures, vision problems, ringing in ears etc then consult a doctor immediately. These symptoms develop if there is a brain injury or bleed. Otherwise this burning sensation will go in a few days. Also, if the area of burning sensation enlarges, or spreads, or sensation worsens, then consult a doctor immediately. Take care!
