I have had two head injuries from falls

The first head injury that I know of for sure, was 1995 and then a bad fall in 1999.  I suffered mild concussion from both but the second fall was the hardest one for me.  I guess one of my questions would be has anyone else had what was considered minor injury but suffered major problems with reading, memory, working with numbers, etc.  I have been reading before I was ever in school as never had TV when growing up, and mother was avid reader.  It took me over three years to get ability back to reading simple things and at times, still have trouble reading.   It took about the same amount of time to finally be able to handle bank account, monthly budgets, etc but also have problems with that at times.  So another question, would be, has anyone suffered losses such as these with what was considered mild concussion?  both of my falls were from falling backwards and do not remember what caused me to fall.  I have had several falls like that (that I know of) and rather scarey at times so try to be careful.
