I received my MRI results from 4/27/10 of my brain, help me please

I received my MRI results and really got no questions answered...until my Drs. appointment in 3 weeks.

This is what it says;

There are multiple small T2 and FLAIR hyperintense lesions in the white matter/subcortical, white matter in the bilateral frontoparietal and occipital cortex.  The largest one is seen in the right parietal lobe measuring 7 mm.  There are 10 lesions seen total

There are multiple FLAIR and T2 hyperintense white matter lesions (at least 10),which are bright on diffusion weighted images.  No infratentorial lesions are identified.  These findings are suspicious for Demyelinating Disease.  Correlate clinically.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
The findings are suggestive of demyelinating diseases of the brain, prominently multiple sclerosis. Other possibilities are some types of migraines, encephalitis, Behçet disease, osmotic myelinolysis, hypertensive encephalopathy, neoplasm, chemotherapy, and radiation. As the report says, the MRI findings have to co-related with the symptoms you have. The most likely cause is MS. Please wait until you can consult a neurologist.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
