Possible Concussion?

I was in a car accident 2 days ago. We were rear ended and i was jerked forward. I had my seat belt on and i was close to or possibly hit the dashboard. My problem is that i cannot remember if i did or not. However, my head has been hurting and its very intense especially with sound and light. My nose is also bruised and is numb. I cannot remember the accident that clearly. Is it possible that i may have a concussion?

To answer your questions:
1) yes, i did look but i found nothing there
2) I went to my pediatrician and he just said i was fine and that was about it
3) yes there is a police report
4) all drivers insurance

I went to the doctor today and he did not test me at all. However, i feel i should get a second opinion.

A few questions come to mind to help you through this process:
1) Do you have access to the car to look at the dashboard in front of where you were sitting.  You might be able to ID any indentations.
2) Have you been seen by any medical professional?
3) Was this a reportable accident and any police report?
4) Does the Driver of either vehicle have insurance?

You should go immediately to a nearby ER and be examined by a Doctor and have any test or imaging they recommend.  Given your description it sounds likely that something significant occurred to you and should be addressed.  You may need to access medical benefits for this and the responsible driver's insurance should pay for this.

Don't sacrifice your health.  Get these things done immediately!!

Good luck.
