Serious Injury?

Serious Injury?

A few months ago I had a panic attack. I have them every few months but this time instead of being able to calm myself down I passed out. When I woke up my head was banging from where I hit the the front/side of my head on the bathroom wall. Since then strange things have happened. I have migraines every few months also but since the injury I've had this throbbing kind of tension headache off and on the frontal right and left of my head. It's never on both sides but switches placing while the headache goes on. I could almost trace with a pen where the headache is happening I can feel it so clearly. Lately it's gotten worse. The past week I've had them almost everyday. Also my sleeping schedule is horribly off. I'm used to staying up late but lately when I try to go to sleep I've had this horrible feelings of panic that keep from sleeping. Like tonight, it's five am here, I went to lay down and this overwhelming fear washed over me. Also my taste in things have changed. For example I love pizza, cheeseburgers etc but every time I've tried to eat things like that lately I get really sick. I never went to the doctor because honestly, who can afford them now? But I'm kind of scared that I might have had a concussion or something more serious that's happening. Does anyone have a clue?

Hi, You really do need to see a doctor, I know it cost, but no amount of money is worth your health and well being.  Migraines can cause food to taste different, been dealing with that for years, sometimes I can't eat for up to two weeks after I have a bad one.  It's rice and yougert only until my brain can process smells and taste properly again.

Go see your GP, if possible a good Neuro.  They truly can help. Please keep me updated and don't try to live like this.  Believe me it's not worth it.  You can find a treatment that works for you.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Is there a chance that you are pregnant? If yes, get a test and see. Other than this consult a headache or migraine specialist to find the cause of headache. In al probability it is a tension headache. It can also be due to poor sleep.
You could also be having ‘benign intracranial hypertension’ (BIH). This happens due to impaired CSF absorption. A generalized throbbing headache worst felt in the morning and last thing at night. This headache is generally relieved on standing (consistent with raised intracranial pressure). It is aggravated by straining, coughing or a change in position.
It can also be a pinched cervical spinal nerve.
Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
