For the past three weeks I have had a strange soft spot on my head. It feels as if it's a rubbery layer on top of the back of my skull about one inch around. It covers one side of my head but not the other. I was never hit in the head in any way, so I'm not sure what this could be and am starting to get a bit worried as it has not gone away. Does anyone know what this may be? I am a 15 year old white male.
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
It is difficult to say what this soft tissue swelling or feeling is. It could be a lipoma, a soft tissue sarcoma or any other swelling of the lymphatics. It could also be fluid or blood collection either due to localized infection or a capillary bleed. Please consult your PCP and get this examined without which it is difficult to diagnose.
Hope this helps. Do let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted. Take care!
