What did the doctors give me?

I was a colllege football player and suffered numerous concussions during my football career. My junior year I suffered a major one but was held out the next week because I was the back-up. My senior year though was a different story. I suffered at least 4-5 significant head traumas and wasn't allowed to miss a single practice or a game. My question is this. After every game after I started sufffering from concussions the team doctors would shut the blinds to the trainers room and lock the door and then place a pill underneath my tongue and just stand there and watch me until it dissolved and then watch me for another 15-20 minutes. What scares me is a couple of years later I asked these doctors what it was they did to me and they denied ever doing that and that is simply a lie. Why would I make up such a story? I've got not grudges towards them, I just would like to know if they were performing some sort of experimental treatment or therapy and exactly what they did to me. I suffer from the after effects of these concussions to this day and just would like to know what they did. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is difficult to say what the doctors gave you. It could have been a nerve soothener or a blood pressure lowering drug or a blood vessel dilator. If you are suffering from some neurological problems or feel you have concussion like symptoms (quite possible after your history), then it would be best to consult a neurologist immediately.
