blood clots

My grandmother is 90 years old she had a stroke, due to her stroke she now has blood clots in her head. She lives in Mexico. Her Dr says she needs surgery, but that its very risky due to her age but if she doesn't have it they say she won't live long. My grandmother really wants to live my question is what do you suggest???? what do you think would be better???? Should she get the surgery or is to risky???? Are there other alternatives???
