brain fog/ dream like state after coma/stupor

I was in a hyponatremic stupor 2 years ago because my sodium levels got very low.  Since then I have been in a dreamlike state and everything looks very weird and strange.  I was wondering if others had these symptoms and if they ever abate/recede, or what I can do about them.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
If you are still in a dream like state/stupor/brain fog, then the electrolyte levels are probably still not normal.
Then you also need to investigate other causes of brain fog like liver dysfunction (get liver enzymes done—liver function test), kidney dysfunction (get kidney function test done), and anemia. Poor sleep pattern and sleep problems like sleep apnea too can cause brain fog. Sleep studies by sleep specialists can help diagnose this.Low Vit D or Vit B12 too could be the cause.
Hypothyroidism, diabetes and hormonal imbalance in women due to either menopause or any other cause like PCOD should be investigated. In men this could be related to low testosterone.
Since I cannot examine you and know other related conditions you may be having, nor is a detailed history possible on net, I have listed the various possibilities that should be looked into. Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral. Take care!

I had all my blood checked and it is okay. I also have eccyhnosis, dark circles under my eyes. I thought maybe I was taking too much medicine and my brain couldn't handle it as well because of the brain stupor or because of my liver or kidneys not being able to process the medicine as well as before my hypotremia.  I had elevated liver enzymes in the hosptial and also abnornal kidney tests.  But afterwards, and since they have all been normal.  I also had MRI of my abdomen but nothing showed up abnormally in my kidneys/liver.  I take ativan and headache medicine, because all this stuff had been causing alot of anxiety.
