could a csf leak cause RSD?

by kelleycapps, Feb 08, 2009 10:11PM
I am a 44 yr old female who had a csf leak due to a dural puncture.  The blood patch was unsuccessful for 7 days.  i was very, very sick.   I developed RSD within 3 months of this .  It started in my rue and moved to my lle until all extremitys were affected as well as my spine.  I have had meningitis 2 times both earlier than the csf.  I have seen all Physicians who specialize in RSD in the US.  I have now had it for 6 years. I have moved and recently aquired a new DR. He  thinks that due to the RSD being widespread and no focal injury when this onset, that the RSD could be from my Brain. Has anyone heard of this and could csf leak cause damage to the brain??? If so... who could this be treated?
