I had a cranioectomy(very large removal of skull for decrompression of ICP)  three years ago from a severe TBI in Iraq.  I've never had any issues with massage therapies.  I have a permanent acrylic plate for half of my skull now.  I get my head massaged when I get my hair cut now and is fine.  My cheekbone area is a little sensitive but that's about it.  I have post traumatic epilepsy also.  If there is an area of exposed brain, don't go near it ( I had nothing but scalp covering the open side of my head for 7 months til I had my surgery).  It'll be swollen like crazy at times and others very dented in... well I may have overanswered this.  Croniotomy and Cranioectomy may be too diff to compare.. hope this helps!
