drugs and brain damaging.

well its august 27th 2008 today. i am 15 years old at the moment.. turning 16 very soon. and on july the first at 4am.. i was my first attempt with hash ( marijuana ) .. it went very bad and it was a horrible trip.. i felt extreme paranoia, hypertension, and panic. i  did it alone in my bedroom.. at 9am i went to the beach with my friends and i was totally back to normal and i was happy -- got a nice tan and it was good.. other than the fact that i was sleepy.. it was great. at 12am we all had lebanese food which made me sick.. and right after i ate it i felt dizzy and horrible. i got home and had a series of panic attacks and i felt dizzy, and nausea. since that day and i've been always dizzy.. with occasional panic attacks -- ( whenever i feel a new symptom comming ) -- and occasional veritgo right before i went to bed ( as im laying down trying to fall asleep ). i consulted a drug specialist and he told me that this is normal and i should not fight my feelings.. and wait for a month, if all the symptoms didn't go away.. i should see a doctor. -- which i did. after a month i was still the same .. but slightly diffarent with an extra weird symptom or so.. feeling like i was going mad and etc.. i went to the doctors.. and they did an MRI, got my ears checked ( with a result of a weak left ear 9% or so from my right ear ), got my sinuses checked and other than the whole ear thing.. i was totally normal.. i don't know whats wrong with me. oh i might add. i have Thelassemia or whatever.. which never played a big role in my life, never thought it could have an effect on me.. so anyway. im on these heart pills and folic acid i take everyday.. i mean whats wrong with me? i never had to take these pills or was half as panic-eyy or paranoid as i am right now-- could the marijuana maybe have an effect on my nervous system? permenent damage from the marijuana?

Hello,

Researchers have found that THC(substance found in marijuana) changes the way in which sensory information gets into and is acted on by the hippocampus. This is a component of the brain's limbic system that is crucial for learning, memory, and the integration of sensory experiences with emotions and motivations.

Usually the symptoms of marijuana are gone be 1 month. In your case as the symptoms are still persisting,so other causes have to be ruled out.As most of the causes of dizziness have been ruled out,I will point out the causes which have to be ruled out. These include TIA(transient ischemic attacks),stroke, orthostatic hypotension, cervical spondolysis, vertebrobasilar insufficiency and carotid sinus syndrome.

Pls discuss these possibilities with your doctor.
Hope it helps.Take care and regards.
