frontal lobe stroke

my 78 yr old mother suffered a frontal lobe stroke about 2 mts ago. she also has left side neclect. this has been very hard for her and for her family who has to be with her at all time, she is bitter about what has happened and feels very depressed, she feels that her rehabilation team  is not doing anything to help her and that her condition is hopeless. however her physical therapist is saying that she improved since starting therpy. is there anything we can do to help her with regard to her depressiion and with her rehabilation.
