headaches

i had headaches for a couple of monthes every day,and the top of my head would stay sore. i had surgery on my neck and my headaches went away for 3 monthes and now they are back.the doctor said it was probably caused from a pinched nerve in my neck.if that was it ,why have they come back? i feel like i had the surgery for nothing.

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
Well there is a possibility that it is due to pinched nerves. Dandruff in the hair too causes headache just at the center of the head. It could also be due to benign intracranial hypertension’  (BIH). This happens due to impaired CSF absorption. A generalized throbbing headache worst felt in the morning and last thing at night. This headache is generally relieved on standing (consistent with raised intracranial pressure). It is aggravated by straining, coughing or a change in position. Sinusitits is another cause of headaches. It could also be cluster headache, migraine, or tension headache. Sometimes migraines do not have triggers. Please consult a neurologist. Maybe seek another opinion.
Hope this helps. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
