Seems like a case of migraine as photophobiaPhotophobia is also there. Migraine headaches are severe, recurrent headaches that are generally accompanied by other symptoms like visual disturbances or nausea. They tend to begin on one side of your head, although the pain may spread to both sides. You may have an "aura" (warning symptoms that start before your headache) and usually feel a throbbing, pounding, or pulsating pain.
The only cause of worry is seizures or tremors. It can be due to epilepsy or some brain pathology.Diagnosis can be made after blood tests, CT or MRI brain.
Pls consult a neurologist for a confirmatory diagnosis.

The symptoms suggest cluster headache. Cluster headaches are one sided, piercing type of headaches which can last anywhere between 15 min to 3 hrs. Cluster headaches are associated with restlessness and are often followed by neck stiffness.
These are also called alarm clock headaches as they occur usually in the early morning and also they occur at about the same time daily.
They often go undiagnosed as they are often confused with other conditions like migraine.
They are treated with narcotic pain killers and beta blockers. Please consult a headache specialist and discuss this possibility. Do keep us posted!
