Hi!
Usually the MRI indicate multiple T2 hyperintensities which are suggestive of widened perivascular spaces, brain aging, migraine, vasculitis, ischaemic or hypoxic-ischaemic changes, haemorrhagic foci, inflammatory changes, multiple sclerosis, central pontine and extrapontine myelinolysis, cancer metastases, radio-and chemotherapy related changes, neurometabolic diseases, CNS degenerative diseases, and eclampsia of pregnancy. A single lesion may indicate a mass, or extension of periventricular space, or metastasis or tumor. However, the findings have to be clinically correlated. Take care!
