Also,
With Orbital FX, a muscle or other adnexea (related parts) may have become trapped in the FX. It can cause double vision, for one.
I would be surprised if an Ophthalmologist (Eye Specialist) has not been involved. But you appear to be in India, so I have no idea what is available to you.
I can't imagine them having a CT and MRI and not having an Ophthalmologist involved.
Hello.
I don't read here, anything about OPHTHALMOLOGY consult results.
Since you mentioned ORBITAL FRACTURE (FX).
Have they looked at the peri orbital region of the left eye (OS)? Have they tried injections of steroid behind the eye? Did they rebuild your orbital floor?
Did you have a Flourescein Angiogram, or an ICG dye test? (Photographic dye tests of the inside of the eyes)
These tests can reveal wether you have the potential for sight in the OS. They get a very detailed look at the vasculature of your eye that way.
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
I am sorry to hear about your accident and subsequent vision problems. The clot would be in some artery supplying the eye. This will need to be taken up by a vascular surgeon. If there is an optical interruption due to hematoma, then this will have to be drained with caution. Steroids are given to reduce swelling. You are in good hands but take a second opinion from another eye surgeon. Take care!
