I found out that I was pregnant. I went to a free clinic to determine that I really was. I don't have health insurance. I applied for affordable care act and said I was eligible for medicaid. I applied for medicaid. So im playing this waiting game. How long does it take for you to get an answer from medicaid or is there any other sources I can get. Im 2 months pregnant right now. This is my first child so Im clueless.
Medicaid generally is supposed to respond on the time frame it says
on the form. However sometimes they can lose track of
the information so its important to call the office
that is processing it from time to time.
Also keep a record of any paperwork that
is part of the process. As well any information
you send them should be sent certified mail return
receipt so you know they received it.
There is a potential of expedited eligibility
for women who are pregnant so it
would be worthwhile to find out if that applies.
Also some woman who are pregnant
are eligible for the related benefit W.I.C.
