CA125 for ovarian cancer

CA125 for ovarian cancer

Why does the insurance company pay for a PSA (detection of prostate cancer) and NOT for a CA125 (detect ovarian cancer)  Both of these test can show a false positive.  Is there a simple explaination for this?  How can I get my insurance to pay for this test -CA125?

Usually when a women finds out that she have ovarian cancer, it is in stage 3-only 20% survival rate. Because the symptoms are so vague.  They mimic everything else a women goes through.   Like bloating, gas, frequent urination, constipation, diarrhea, mentrual disorders, backaches!  How are we suppose to know?  A CA125 would ease our minds!  But how many people can afford it?
Please advise!  Thank you in advance.  Paula
