Canada Pension Plan, more harm than help

by doctora, Sep 28, 2009 07:30PM
My claim actually started Dec 07 when I had a grand mal seizure, and broke 4 vertibrae.  I had several other physical problems, but I had always ignorned the fact that mentally I was not what "society" feels I should be. I couldnt hold a job, I had severe mood swings, and this progressed to my subconscience controlling my conscience, I couldnt tell right from wrong. I was diagnosed again April 09, with Schizoeffective Disorder.  I was approved with ODSP (Ontario Disability), but when I decided to get together again with my husband, and with his agreement that I had come to terms with my disease, I had to reapply.

Since then I have lost my house, had to declare bankruptcy, spent a couple of days in a "top notch" mental institution, had family members shun me, and still no income or response.  I did call them a few days ago, and they claim that they sent a letter for more information. They know everything they need to know.

Is this common to treat someone with a disorder in which they can be harmful to themselves or others in severe mania. I cannot afford any therapy without the CPP assistance.

Please let me know, and I can assure you if I go into a manic situation and there is trouble, I will personally hold them liable, maybe they should think of that.
