Copay or Not?

Hi all,
I want a copay plan. I have always had one with my earlier employer but now that I am looking for coverage on my own. Some of the agents are trying to offer me plans that do not have copay. Won't this cost me more when I go to the doctor?

While a visit to the Dr may be more expensive, average copay is what?  20-30 dollars, I pay about 45 dollars after Network Discount.  If the Non Co Pay Premium is just 40 dollars a month cheaper or $480 a year, I would have to go to the Dr. 20 to 35 times in a year for the Co Pay Plan to be cheaper.  It is very unlikely at the age 47 I'll go to the Dr more then twice a year!

CoPay is a Suckers Bet.

Hey, the simple answer to your question is yes! It will cost more to go to the doctor under a plan that does not have copay … but only if you look at what you pay for services rendered. I suggest that you check out http://healthinsurance-com.com and get more information about your question. Hope this will help you. Good luck!
