Good Health Insurance For Less???

Good Health Insurance For Less???

Hello. I've currently been having loads of terrifying symptoms that I think are caused by anxiety; but just to make sure, I'm seeing a Dr. to make sure it isn't something serious like my heart. Well, I'm a self pay; I don't have any health insurance. Or I should say my mom doesn't have health insurance for me because I'm only 17, so it would be her who pays for it. Well, shes a single mom who is a teacher, so she isn't going to be able to afford all of the expensive tests I need to have done in order to rule out a potential heart problem. But if I get health insurance, that is going to be quite a burden on her wallet as well. Does anyone know of a good health insurance company that isn't too expensive? Or that is less for single parents?? Any advice or information would be VERY much appreciated!!!

Dear Chrissy364,

You can check into state programs like KidsCare (for children aged 19 7 under) on www.kidscare.state.az.us or call them at 877- 764-5437, 602- 417-5437; or AHCCCS, Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (Arizona’s Medicaid Program) on www.ahcccs.state.az.us or call them at 602-542-9935.

I also ran a quote using Maricopa County (not knowing what county you live in) using the link on the top left corner of this page and found plans for under $80 a month from Aetna, Cinga, UnitedHealthCare, etc, for a 17 years old female.

If your mom is the one who is going to help pay for the premiums, you might want to get her involved right from the beginning so she can also help you pick a good plan. Keep in mind the “Get Quote” link on this page also connects you to licensed agents who can advice yon both on the phone & by online chat.

Sincerely,

Amir Mostafaie
