In network provider not accepting new patients

Here's the problem. I have a relative who recently started working for a new company.  The healthcare plan offered by her employer is a PPO.  She looked through the list of doctor's in the network and contacted two of them that were located in close proximity to her home.  She is a single parent, has two small children and didn't want to travel very far to see a doctor.  Niether of the network doctors are accepting new patients.  Apart from going to an out of network doctor, what can she do?

Dear healthcarenut,

My advice to your relative is to contact the customer service department of her new insurance carrier through the toll free number provided on her ID card & ask them to help her find a provider who is not only close by but also accepts new patients.

Most of the times Insurance Companies have provider finding tools that are available internally which allows their agents to help their customers find out otherwise hard-to-find information.
