Insurance

Hello

Not to sure if anyone knows anything about this but any ideas or suggestions would be great. I was on my parents health insurance until I was grad. high school and I have liver Illness called Orthine Transcarbamalyse I was born with it and until I started going to school I had a job with health insurance... Now I went to pick up my medication called buphenyol and I about fainted when he said a four digit number. My father says he can not put me on his policy until oct. which hopefully I do not need it but I sometimes have spells of high ammonia levels and have to be taken to the er and if anyone without health insurance has been there we both know its very costly.... Any ideas?

Hello,
If want info about medical insurance or a hospital or a doctor, I found a great site with many articles about just these subjects. There are also some links to other places if the info there is not enough.

Basically, you need to know what to look for before you buy a medical plan, choose a hospital, etc.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Dear Kristen0509,

There is an organization that helps people obtain medication at a lower or no cost, depending on their situation. For your particular medication, please visit
http://www.needymeds.com/drug_list.taf?_function=name&name=Buphenyl

Try your best to get on your father’s group policy and be sure not to let your coverage lapse again.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Sincerely,
