best hmo .ppo plan insurance to get ?

I have been with 2 diffrent companys for Insurance plans at work .. first was Kaiser hmo system los angeles ca.
at first it wasnt so bad - and worked  from 1979- 1986  after that it seem to get worse and crowed more and more..
I paid more and got less and less !  and the care went into the toilet ! so I switched plans to Cigna hmo prem plan.
iv been on this since 2001 it was real good at first, but after 3 years it worse and worse !  and got like Kaiser was .
crowed and poor service and bad care!  in 2004 I switched again to cigna's open access plan prem again .. paid more
and got a bit more !  however I found most of the doctors are the same and again dont give the best service and push
medications.  again its like Kaiser hmo system -wraped in a fancy package . you still pay more and get less.and now even more less !
Im thinking of switching again - to another plan and diffrent insurance company -  is there a good plan out there
or within southern california , with good careing doctors, that help people and wont just rush them in and out .
and push pills on them !!

thanks for any help here.

Dear boogernose,

Except in some rare situations doctors are not employed by insurance companies, so if you are not happy with your doctor, you may not have to necessarily change your insurance carrier.
If you are not happy with your doctor, you need to start by voicing your concerns to your doctor. When communicating your concerns to your doctor, be objective & state facts & how those facts impact you! If that fails then choose a different doctor.

When you want to choose a new doctor, make a list of everything that is important to you in a provider & look for a doctor that can meet those needs. Ask friends, coworkers & relatives about their experience with their doctors. Once you have decided on a doctor, find out if he/she is a participating provider for your plan. If so, then follow the necessary steps to make the switch (your insurance carrier can help you with making the switch).

If the doctor of you choice is not a participating provider, then find out what insurance carriers he/she is contracted with & see if you can switch your insurance.

Sincerely,

Amir Mostafaie
