diagnosed with dystonia in chin. neuroligist sent me to dental specialist.treatment very successful;but insurance co.[blue cross] refuses coverage because my health insur. does not include dental. my condition confirmed medical condition that is improved drastically by treatment by dental specialist.  help!

Dear wpwbeef,

It sounds like you sought services with out knowing if they were covered under your health plan.
Unfortunately, even though what the dentist did has helped your condition, your health plan may not cover it because it may be considered dental services.
The only advice I can give you is that (unless you have an emergency) always get pre- approval from your carrier before you go in for services
