I've found the same answer more than a couple of times that a patient is reasonable for the lab bill if the physician sends the request out to a lab of their choosingChoosing a primary care provider Choosing a qualified surgeon and not a lab covered by the patients insurance. Why should the physician not be responsible for their carelessness? At least the physician should acknowledge their error and try to make it right.
