insurance co in liquidation

I have just found out that my Health Insurance co is going into liquidation.  This is a great concern for me.  I am in the process of getting tests/screening for colon cancer.  I haven't done any tests yet.  They are schedule for June. I will not be able to go thru with this if I do not have coverage.  The colonoscopy alone is too expensive.  My question is will another company pick me up with this condition already on the table??? What should I do?  What are my options?  Thank you for any advice.

Dear frustrated165,

Under current laws, your options depend on your State of residence and type of insurance (group sponsored or private/individual coverage) you currently have. If you want to share more details about your current coverage & where live, I will be happy to provide you with some tips. Also it might help to mention the name of your current carrier (that is if you feel comfortable).

Sincerely,

Thank you for the reply.  I really appreciate it.  I presently have private/family insurance in SC.
