poor care - and no help or care

I was taken off a beta blocker med, after having adverse side effects (long term use)  -I was put on ccb verapamil and dieretic maxide - the Doctor insisted on me taking them daily - even though I gave him list of medications I took before
and had problems with them (on the list)  He told me to take them and they were fine!  Well im now having problems
and have such bad back pains - and swelling ankles and some shortness of breath !  as well my eyes are watering and swelling in the a.m and hard to open when waking up.. as well blurr vision. - I did go see a Allergest and they confirmed - I was allergic to the maxide dieretic - and as well the verapamil .. I went back to the doctor, he again refused to take me off the ccb and maxide.. and also refused to read the report from the Allergest ( that I paid for )
I switched Doctors , and about the same thing happend to me.. when seeing the New Doctor.. He refused to take me
off the ccb or maxide.???  

Due to the excessive back pains - and eye problems - and the fact it was confirmed that im allergic to the meds.
Im weening off them myself.

as I can not stand the problems im having !!     I called my Hmo and switched to Open Access plan -  however
No change in Doctors -  its all the same thing ..  and Not one Doctor knows what a Open Access plan is ?

Im now at a loss - as what to do !!  for good and safe care - and how to get the correct medication for h.b.p.

Dear boogernose,

Open Access plans may not give you access to more Doctors, but they are more convenient in the way that they don’t require referrals from your PCP (Primary care Physician) to see a specialist.
It sounds like you are having issues with your (specialist) Doctor! I would try to find a good cardiologist within your network (there are many in the L.A. area) & switch you’re your cardiologist.
