Any tasty healthy Thanks giving tips?

I am thinking of roasting veg in the oven like squash, potatoes , sprouts ,onions, turkey ...has anyone got any other traditional items for Thanksgiving meal?

the other question is I want to make a home made stuffing ...any ideas?.

I actually have a great stuffing recipe that always seems to go over well.

I loaf of day old bread, ripped up fairly small
I chop apples to add and often add cranberries as well
Favorite seasonings...I use a bit of garlic powder, poultry seasoning, basil and rosemary.  Salt and pepper to taste
melt 1/2 cup butter and mix with 1/2 cup orange juice (much healthier then the traditional full cup butter, and gives it a nice subtle orange flavor)

Stuff your bird, then I use the identical seasonings on the bird itself, with a garlic clove under each leg.

It's almost always a hit.

Forgot to mention...I add a diced onion to this as well.

Thank you adgal thats sounds good I have copied it out I like the idea of the sweet of the apples and the cranberries and the savoury seasonings .
