Crispy greens are something to consider

The other day Swampy came across a recipe for kale chips. Essentially, you take some washed and dried kale, sprinkle with a little olive oil and kosher salt, and bake at 375 until the edges are brown and the leaves are crispy. Its a hot, fresh, healthy snack and may satisfy potato chip cravings.

Then Swampy realized another crispy greens. In Thai cooking, basil leaves are crisped in a similar manner and are sprinkled over some foods. A nice was to eat basil.

And finally, a non-baked crispy...well, sort of green. Swampy's friend has a second grade daughter, and he packs a slice of nori in her lunch. Back when Swampy was a young critter, nori was unavailable around the edges of his boyhood swamp, so he never had it...but its a nice idea for a healthy snack.

Frying sage in olive oil is wonderful too!  The oil gets flavored and the leaves are crisp.  Toss with pasta!
