Maple Glazed Salmon

Maple Glazed Salmon

This is adapted from a recipe at recipezaar


Ingredients

    * 3 tablespoons maple syrup
    * 2 tablespoons soy sauce
    * 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger (or 1 tsp ground ginger)
    * 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch, dissolved in
    * 1 tablespoon water
    * 4 salmon fillets

Directions

      In a small bowl whisk together the syrup through cornstarch solution until smooth.
      
       Line pan with foil and spray with olive oil or nonstick spray. Place the fillets skin-side-down in a shallow    
       baking pan.
    
      Pour the syrup mixture over the salmon.
    
     Bake about 15-18 minutes at 450°F until the fish flakes easily; baste with glaze halfway through cooking.

I served this with sweet potato fries with an added punch of cajun seasoning to balance the sweet. Great stuff!

Well, its back to the drawing board for me, lol.  This is almost identical to the recipe I was going to use.  If I can't find anything else, I still might use mine.  Looks good!

I found a recipe to use, but will definately be trying this one sometime!  It sounds great, and I'm always looking for new ways to make salmon.

This was fantastic! The original recipe called for scallions and toast slivered almonds, but I left that out and altered the amounts and cooking times a bit. I say try it anyway, maybe you could improve upon it further.
