Can i shoot if i have a hearing loss

So i have had a hearing loss since birth and started shooting around age 13-14 on the trap discipline with a 12G shotgun. Im now 16 and a few months ago i was told i had a loss of hear but my hearing has fluctuated over time. So shooting can't be the biggest thing to blame in this, can it? Like i don't want to shoot if i have the risk of losing my hearing but i enjoy shooting. So is there a way i can shoot and not lose my hear or block the noise out completely. Or is no matter what i do when i shoot over time i will lose some hearing. I also am thinking of moving to rifle because i don't think there as loud and won't have the chance of damaging me.  So what do you guys say, i am just preventing my self lose more hearing or become deaf.
