Hearing Loss Fix?
When I was 5 years old, I had surgery to remove a cholesteatoma from my left ear. I later that year had another surgery to try to restore the hearing that was lost due to the cholesteatoma, which did not work. Doctors told me that when I was older I could possibly try again to restore my hearing, but that chances were slim that it would work. I am now 20 years old and I am becoming increasingly curious about any new procedures that may be available to restore hearing to my left ear. Are there any with high success rates, or is my deafness likely to be permanent?
