Hollowness after ear tube surgery?

I have had ear tube surgery yesterday because of complaining ear pain and pressure headaches. However I feel a hollowness in my left ear whenever I speak? Is this normal? Will this go away? Also I still have a small headache on the left side of my head.

Hi!
If there is pain and hollowness there may be infection and/or perforation in the ear post surgery. You need to report this to your surgeon. You may be prescribes antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. You may also need a removal of ear tubes. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
