Please Help,I'm very scared

I have a strange noise in my ear. It happens when I lay down a certain way, when I am at rest, or when I have had a smoke of a joint, (rare occasion) It's been ongoing for a few months but happens every now and then, infrequently for anything between an hour to until I fall asleep. I searched on google and looked at all the types of tittinus, the one described as a pulsating noise is what mines is like. It is like a sound of something zooming past at the same rate as a fast heart beat. It's extremly scary because it's fast and resembles the sound of like something running past like blood through a vien maybe. But really fast. I'm really scared I have an aneurisym or something or cancer.

Dont be scared it is propably nothing more serious than your hearing the blood pass through your ear. Lying on the left side with your ear against the pillow should make it worse. Try lying on the right side and keep your ear away form the pillow. Also see an ear specialist to rule out anthing serious.

Thanks for the reply. It actually makes the noise worse when I lie on my right side. But it comes and goes. I'm working on getting an appointment somewhere at the moment. But I'm scared to go. Thanks.
