April 8, 2015 sitting in my rm, a sudden tone started in my left ear. Couple minutes later went completely deaf. Thinking it was something minor I just waited it out for a couple hours. Then the vertigo, nausea, dizzness set in. I decided to go to urgent care. Explained the symptons to the Dr. I was diagnosed with inner ear fluid, Dr recommended to take a steroid shot and should be fine in the morning. Not so still the same so I decide to go to ER april 10th because this has me very concerned by now. Same diagnoses, take these steroids over a period on 5 days should be fine in 6 to 10 days. I set an appointment For a ENT Dr April 21st. She diagnoses me with ISSHL. Same treatment very stong steroid (prednisone), allergie meds, nasal spray, meds for vertigo and a stomach med. Still today the exact same, no improvement at all. Is there anyone taking any other type of treatment for idiopathic sudden sensorinuro hearing loss?
