begining of a hearing loss?

Hi people, so im 15 and for the past few years to me it seems like i am slowly loosing parts of my hearing. i am in band so it can get pretty loud in the band room at times, but i dont think that would be enough to cause a problem... anyways, lately it has been getting extreamly frustrating to have conversations with people in public spaces (aka, pretty much anywhere) because with all that noise in the back round, i cant understand what people are saying to me unless they look at me so i can read their lips. i know their talking, but its hard to hear some sounds of words their saying. like the middle of the word is gone depending on the word. after a second or two i can kind of understand what their saying assuming its a conversation that we know what were talking about.

but at dinner or something with my family, i get just so mad cause if someone says something ill miss words and wont know what their saying then i have to wait for them to reply. this is especailly annoying because when im at the ice rink my friend doesnt have very much patients so when she says something and i dont hear she gets mad and yells at me after repeating it 3 or 4 times.

now the problem is my parents. my mom wont believe me because my brother is hard of hearing and so it looks like i am just faking it to get attention. it doesnt help that i am very involved in the deaf community because i love ASL (working on becoming fluent! ) so should i really push my mom to make an appt with an ENT? or will they just think im lieing too because i would pass the hearing test because its taken in a dead quiet room.

btw those rooms are BS! in real life there is almost NO WAY you will be in a dead silent room with absolutly NO sound going on.   i just cant take it anymore!
