I am 62 years young and pretty healthy. I have continued  having ear problems such as pain, fluid running out, sometimes small amts of blood. I noticed lately I have a pea sized lump behind it on the right . I also have pain on the right side of my headand temple area. The doc looked at the inside, but didn't see anything wrong . what do you think?

Sounds like it could be an infected gland, but it's hard to say. Maybe you can google glands behind the ear to see where they are and compare that with your lump location. It also sounds like you have (or have had) a nasty middle ear infection.

I think you should see an ENT. I am assuming that the doc you saw was your primary care doctor, but if I am wrong and it was an ENT... see a different one! If you have blood coming out of your ear, any decent ENT should be able to figure out the problem or at least try hard to figure it out.
