otosclerosis surgery after effects

i am scheduled for the stapes surgery and i am very afraid of the nausea and dizziness involved afterwards. can anybody give me some insight on what exactly to expect, and also just how bad the nausea really is. i would hope there would be some medications to alleviate this. thanks, dannysing

Usually when they treat you for nausea they give you these tablets and then you end up getting sleepy.  Not sure what they will give you, but that is what I had before.  Give us an update when you can.

thanks for the input. i had the stapes surgery already...and i had NO nausea or even vertigo...in face i drove home (70 miles) the next day...all that worrying for nothing................thanks, again

oh my that's great, what a remarkable recovery!  How has the outcome been?

so far i can hear a little better...it comes and goes, but i do see a difference. doc says 2 months from now i will have total hearing.....(hope so) thanks for asking!
