I am taking the following medications.
Quinidex,Mexitil, Vasotec, Demedex, Lanoxin, Imdur, Lipitor, Prevacid, Ambien, Vitamins and a potassium supplement.
I have developed itching and eruptions (patchy) between my knees and ankles on both legs.  I have showed them to my doctor and he says " Oh, Dont worry about it."  I wonder whether some of the meds I'm taking could be the cause or do folks with heart failure have circulation problems that could cause these symptoms.
These patches seem to come and go and I relieve the inching with cortisone cream but this is a very uncomfortable situation.  Sometimes the itch can get just maddening.
  Any suggestions??

Dear Joe,
Seek the opinion of a dermatologist at a major university center, i.e. where dermatologists are used to seeing patients that are on multiple medicines such as you are.  It may be a primary skin disorder, but it very well may be secondary to one or more(interactions of two of the drugs) of your medicines.
Although many heart failure patients do have poor circulation to the legs, rarely does poor circulation result in such "patches" as you describe, rather poor circulation usually results in non healing ulcers or skin discoloration.

I hope this information is useful. Information provided in the heart forum is for
