? Broken Heart

Hi,

I'm a 55 male, 240 pounds.  I flatlined 4 times one Sunday morning in 2004.  I had nuclear studies and ?persantine? stress tests in the past.

I now have a pacemaker defribrilator as a result of the heart attack and cardiac cath's.  I am  diabetic and have had 14 back surgeries, 1 neck fusion and a number of near fatal staph infections.

I can be talking to someone and my color will change from pink to pale to gray and I become diapheretic and weak. These sysptoms get me to the ER and often my troponin is OK but I wind up getting a nuclear med study which shows something on the back of the heart.  I then either end up getting a STAT stress test or another cardiac cath.  Usually I'm told everythiing is OK and they send me home.

Several times I have been told my troponin levels were a little elevated, the discussion ends with "We'll keep an eye on you" and I go home till the next time.

Someone told me that certain foods or medications can raise troponin levels.  I've looked online and can't find anything that I can understand.

Does anyone know of any foods, meds, whatever may raise the troponin levels so that I can avoid them and spend time with my new grandson?

I want to dies on my feet and not with my butt in a hospital room.  I've been through answers when I ask for my cardiologist "She's busy taking care of patients that are really sick".

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

BJ

The obvious thing to do would be to ask a cardiologist.

A DIFFERENT cardiologist.

If a doctor is too busy to treat ME, I take my business elsewhere.
