I recently had angioplasty, I am 31 years old in good shape and with good cholesterol levels and no history of heart problems. The doctors said that it was most likely a side effect from my cancer treatments, i.e chemo and radiation. that could be the cause of my clot...... it has been one week since the procedure.. and I don't know what to expect.... going back to work? going to the gym again if possible can anyone help with some kind of insight.

How long ago did you have radiation?  Was the radiation treatment to your chest or back?  Radiation does damage through the years.  It builds up a lot of scar tissue and can also cause calcified aorta and bone thinning.  Chemotherapy is harmful also to your veins (shrinks them).  Whereever the radiation touch, there will be scar tissue and hardening throughout the years.  My Mom had breast cancer at 42.  She had the radiation and chemo for a year.  At age 58, she needed open heart surgery for pericarditis and 5 bypasses.  It was from radiation treatments and she was told that she would need a heart transplant a few years later.  She would not have the transplant and ended up having balloons and stents until her final surgery at age 70.  Her aorta valve was calcified due to radiation, her heart did not resemble heart anatomy, three valves where bad, and her bones crumbled.  The surgeon said that the radiation took a toll on her.  Her mind was as sharp as ever and probably sharper than mine.  Talk to your doctors about the effects of radiation and what you can do to preserve your bones and heart.  There seems to be a big change every 10 years with radiation.
