marked ca deposition in heart vessels

hi,  i want to ask about my father's  condition . He is 56 yeara, diabetic, (on insulin) hypertensive , ex-smoker . he suffered from angina  and he was catheterized 3 times in one year  (last one was 4 months ago) and each time the doctors implant stents both normal and drug-illuting stents ( he has 7 stents ) and each time the doctors find re stenoses either in catheters or a new vessel became  stenosd. they comment of marked calcification over his vessels that no one had ever seen such a huge calcification in that age . they say that the vessels is so calcified and it is the cause of his condition.
however lab was normal for ca
he is currently on treatment for DM.HTN,Hyprrlipedimia and on Plavix tab.
his lab each time is good
so please what is in your opinion the cause of recurrence
and is there is any ca lowering drug that can prevent ca depositions over the arteries

You are equating calcium level in the blood supply and calcium deposits in the vessels.  An exact cause of the calcium deposits has not been identified yet. A logical answer would be the calcium intake from food or supplements. As you know, calcium is very important for the health of the human body. Some patients, older people and menopausal females must have at least 1000 mg calcium intake a day from diet and supplements. So you cannot reduce calcium intake as a form of treatment against calcium deposits.

To have or maintain healthy system vessels can be helped with a heart healthy diet, exercise, no smoking, very little alcohol, etc. Unfortunately there is a genetic component as well..
