2D echo

by anuradhad, Aug 12, 2009 05:22AM
My mother-in-law is 55 years old. She went for ECG and 2D echo. Her ECG was normal and the 2D echo report suggested suboptimal/obese echo window. What does it mean.

The phrase means the echo window is of poor quality. The problem becomes more evident in some patient categories, such as obese patients, those with chronic bronchopneumopathy or those patients in intensive care, for which for various reasons the acoustic window is suboptimal.
