Hiya. I had an angiogram done in March which revealed cardiomyopathy
and a 30% blockage in an artery. Not sure which one. WHat I wanna know
is wy do they leave it? THey said 30% is nothing? Is this true ? And can
a 30% blockage cause chest or arm pain ??
Thank you, abd God Bless this forum.

Dear Ginger, thank you for your question.  A 30% blockage in a coronary artery is very mild and will not cause a cardiomyopathy nor chest pain.  I suspect that you have a condition called dilated cardiomyopathy where the heart muscle doesn't contract properly even with normal coronary arteries.  Generally, a coronary artery blockage would have to be > 75% on an angiogram to cause symptoms of chest pain.  I hope you find this information useful.
