My 44 year old brother who has had three kidney transplants over about 30 years since a child (the kidney is working fine) was recently told he had the heart of a 97 year old. He went in for an angioplasty and was told short of a heart transplant there was not much that could be done. they think he has had three heart attacks, his heart is enlarged, his arteries have malfunctioned, they are destroyed, blocked and can't be fixed and part of his heart has collapsed. His injection fraction is 10%. They are putting in a defibrillator soon. He is a landscaper and cut 6 lawns the day before seeing the doctor. I have read about a heart shaping device at Johns Hopkins and wonder if that or anything else might be done?

Sorry to hear about your brother. It sounds like his heart if very sick. Many institutions, The Johns Hopkins Hospital included, have these EXPERIMENTAL devices that change the shape of the heart. They are all experimental at this point and are unlikely to be the answer you are looking for. It is good hear that he is still very functional and able to cut lawns.
The ICD is a wise decision.
Sometimes a transplant evaluation is completely appropriate and this is something that should be considered. You may want to consider an evaluation by a large, reputable transplant program. Most major teaching hospitals have them and we are certainly proud of ours here at the Cleveland Clinic.

i am in the same situation, since i have a baby and because of that do long time the apple love. My advice is, if the lady get a baby you must stay with her. Never leave her and never take other lady. Not even young lady.
