5.8 aortic root aneurym, aortic valve replacement and bypass!!!!

I am having surgery March 11, 2008 at Medical Center of The Rockies, in Loveland Colorado. My surgeon my do all three procedures at once is this safe?  Aortic valve replacement, Fix my aortic root aneurysm 5.8 cm and bypass????   Help!!!!

Hi, My Dad (some years ago) had open heart surgery (two times actually!) and both times more than one procedure was done....several in fact. It is much better if they can accomplish a lot of good things while in there, rather than doing three separate surgeries. One time, fix it all and they are out --is best! Of course you are nervous, but the more they do, the better. It would be much more stressful to your body to go through numerous surgeries. Hope you can relax slightly by looking at it that way. The more they do, the healthier you will be later. Thinking good thoughts for you.
