A Ragbag of Symptoms

A Ragbag of Symptoms

Went to my GP this morning with some odd problems but I suspect he will need to eliminate all sorts of issues before we get to the nitty gritty as it isn't easy to describe what I feel in a short session.

Basically I am a 250lb 64 yo male, 6'3"  tall and have high BP , well controlled by meds (below 130/90) for ten years now. I take vaso-dilator and diuretic. My cholesterol level is 4 and I am on Statins.

In the last month I have encountered pins and needles in my arms and legs - worse in the middle of the night;  an ache/twitch/Tnderness in my neck - mainly on the left side; digestion problems worse than usual (lot of wind and diahorrea); great fatigue at times, and a strong feeling of unwellness at times. I also have various tender points on my ribs. Finally - my breasts have become very tender in recent weeks. I usually feel worse as the day goes on.

I have had rheumatoid arthritis for 17 years but it is well controlled by drugs and I have some allergies so I do have an over-active immune system.

This afternoon I felt awful and took my BP to find it was 161/89 - but it has now fallen back to 140/80 an hour later. I am not sure how accurate the BP machine is as the Doc's readings are usually lower than mine.

I know this is a ragbag of symptoms and that my GP will eventually get to the answer by elimination - but that could take time and things aren't great just now so I wondered if anyone had any thoughts which might help?
