A question about the reply to my last posting

Hi, I have a question about the reply to my last posting. It was cardiac or pulmonary (that was the name of the posting). The doctor that responded mentioned that my problem could be GI related. What could make me feel chest tightness(like I'm wearing a tight bra and can't get a deep breath) that's GI related? What will a stress test tell since I have this problem no matter what I'm doing?

Dear Brandi,
A stress test will help to rule out a significant cardiac cause to these symptoms.  Sometimes reflux of acid into the esophagus can cause chest pain as can inflammation of the cartilage of the ribs called costochondritis.
